Unverified political claims have emerged alleging that Governor Hope Uzodimma of Imo State may have been instructed by powerful interests in Abuja, to hand over power to Senator Samuel Anyanwu, popularly known as Samdaddy, at the end of his tenure.
The claims, which are currently circulating within political circles, suggest that discussions about succession in Imo State may already be taking place at the national level.
However, there has been no official confirmation from Governor Uzodimma, Senator Anyanwu, or any authoritative source.
According to the unverified gossips, former Rivers State governor, Nyesom Wike has dismantled Uzodimma's influence in Abuja, and forced a political arrangement that will see Anyanwu succeeding Uzodimma.
Those promoting the narrative insist that individuals nursing governorship ambitions under the belief that Governor Uzodimma would back them may ultimately be disappointed.
